I use the face and body as a canvas. My painting is a continuous experiment, i work in a variety of paints, glitters stencils powders. i want to show you the working process that goes into my painting. . contact - lindenlea2000@hotmail.com
Unfortunately Ive had to postpone todays earth man body paint due to my dodgy ankle being dodgy.
But stay tuned for next weeks body paint with Gaffy, I can not wait!
The Man who rose from earth is going to make up part of a larger series of paints which will involve a more considered lighting set up and art direction. I want the paint to look shadowy with pockets of directional light falling on it, something like the image above.
Very much an experiment in how to look like the earth for tomorrow’s paint #stepbystep #facepaint #black
With the help of Jade for the black bits Ive been teaching myself how to re-touch an image on photoshop.
Ive gone a little extreme on this one to demonstrate how far you can take it. but notice the difference on the before and after.
I want to look at how I can alter the texture of the skin to represent that of the nature and environment around it. Using various different natural substances. This isn’t just about changing the skin; I want a story to unfold about how man came into contact with the earth and why and where this battle began?
There is a process of transformation to consider, how does clay in particular react to the skin? How does it make its way around the body? What happens when colour is applied on top, beneath or during the drying process?
